Terms and Conditions for CLS Reflexology
General Information
These Terms and Conditions outline the policies governing the provision of reflexology services by CLS Reflexology in the United Kingdom. By booking and attending a reflexology session, you agree to abide by these terms.
Definitions
- Client – The person receiving reflexology services.
- Reflexologist – The professional providing reflexology services at CLS Reflexology.
- Appointment – The scheduled date and time for a reflexology session.
- Services – The reflexology treatments offered to the client.
Professional Standards & Membership
- The reflexologist is a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR), demonstrating they have completed a nationally recognised Diploma in Reflexology and receive ongoing support from the AoR.
- As an AoR member, the reflexologist:
- Adheres to the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics.
- Follows the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance for client safety.
- Holds insurance exceeding £5 million for medical malpractice/professional indemnity.
- Complies with AoR Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements to maintain best practices.
- Adheres to GDPR data protection regulations (see separate Privacy Policy for details).
- Provides a professional, bespoke treatment suited to individual client needs.
Appointments and Cancellations
Booking Appointments
- Clients must book in advance via the CLS Reflexology website or email.
- When making an appointment, clients agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- A consultation is required before the first treatment to disclose any relevant medical or lifestyle information.
- A confirmation of appointment will be sent via email or text message.
- Clients must provide accurate contact details when booking.
- Clients must notify CLS Reflexology before the appointment if they experience symptoms such as fever, sickness, or cough, which may require rescheduling.
- The reflexologist also upholds high standards; should they feel unwell or unable to treat, they will notify the client as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy
- Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee equal to 50% of the service cost.
- Repeated cancellations or missed appointments may result in termination of future services.
- If the client is pregnant and near their due date, cancellation fees will not apply.
- Clients booking online have a 14-day cooling-off period in accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, unless the service has already been provided within that timeframe.
Fees, Payment & Refunds
- All fees must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Treatment Fees:
- 1st Treatment (incl. consultation) – £50
- Subsequent Treatment – £45
- Under 16’s Foot/Hand Reflexology – £35
- Taster Session – £30
- Package Offer: 6 sessions for the price of 5 – £225 (Save £45)
- Payment is accepted via credit/debit card through the online payment system.
- Receipts will be provided.
- CLS Reflexology reserves the right to apply discretion regarding discounts.
- Refund Policy:
- Refunds are not provided for missed appointments.
- Refunds for prepaid packages will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and must be requested in writing.
Treatment Packages
- Prepaid treatment packages are available at a discounted rate.
- Packages are fully flexible with 24 hours’ notice for rescheduling.
- Packages must be used within 6 months of purchase.
- If an appointment is missed, the cancellation policy applies.
- Packages are non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply.
Gift Vouchers
- Gift vouchers for treatments are available for purchase.
- Vouchers are valid for 6 months unless otherwise specified.
- If an appointment is missed, the cancellation policy applies.
- Vouchers are non-refundable.
Medical Disclaimer
- Reflexology is a complementary therapy and not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.
- Clients with underlying medical conditions should consult with their doctor before booking a session.
- The reflexologist does not diagnose, prescribe medication, or offer medical treatment.
Client Responsibilities
Clients must:
- Arrive on time for appointments.
- For home visits, allow time for the reflexologist to set up/ pack away, ensure a safe, clear space for treatment and keep pets in another room to avoid distraction.
- Provide accurate medical history and updates to the reflexologist.
- Follow pre-session and post-session care instructions provided.
Reflexologist Responsibilities
The Reflexologist will:
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the AoR.
- Keep client information confidential (as per GDPR regulations).
- Provide treatments tailored to individual client needs.
- Ensure continuing professional development to maintain best practices.
Limitation of Liability
- CLS Reflexology shall not be held responsible for any adverse reactions to treatments, provided that all reasonable care and precautions have been taken.
- The client acknowledges that results may vary and that no specific outcomes are guaranteed.
- CLS Reflexology’s liability is limited to the total fees paid for services rendered.
Legal & Compliance
- These terms and conditions are governed by UK law.
- Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of UK courts.
- CLS Reflexology reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time.
- Clients will be notified of significant changes to these terms.
